Fiona has been a professional in the oral tradition of storytelling for the last twenty years. She tells folk and fairy tales from many different cultures. Fiona has performed in Arts Centres, Schools, Prisons, Village Halls, Libraries, Country Gardens, Ancestral Homes, Folk Clubs. Example stories:
'The Leopard's Drum'. Based on this Asante tale from West Africa, each class learns a song and dance for their animal and two whole school songs.
'Firechild' A
story that can be based around the equinox. Firechild comes to life
every time anyone lights a bonfire. On this occassion, she cannot find
her find way back home. By singing questions and answers, call and
response, the children help Firechild find her way home and find out one

Storytelling for Adults and Families
'The Story and the Harp' with harpist Elizabeth Jane Baldry, weaving music and stories together. They have performed at stately homes and private parties and helped create some truly magical evenings.
