Fiona has been a professional in the oral tradition of storytelling for the last twenty years. She tells folk and fairy tales from many different cultures.  Fiona has performed in Arts Centres, Schools, Prisons, Village Halls, Libraries, Country Gardens, Ancestral Homes, Folk Clubs.

Storytelling in Schools

'The Leopard's Drum'. Based on this Asante tale from West Africa, each class learns a song and dance for their animal and two whole school songs.

'Firechild'
A story that can be based around the equinox. Firechild comes to life every time anyone lights a bonfire. On this occassion, she cannot find her find way back home. By singing questions and answers, call and response, the children help Firechild find her way home and find out one way of making fire.
